Instruction Manual

ON/OFF
Plug in the mains cord; two pin male plug into your AC wall power supply & female socket in the back of the instrument.
Switch on the instrument by pressing the On / Off Switch
Note: Pressing the On / Off switch again put the instrument off.

MAIN SA
Select your required Sur (Note) using the Main SA Switch Use the Decrement & Increment arrow buttons to navigate from the lowest to the highest Sur (i.e. main notes). The Sur indication is arranged like Harmonium / Piano Keyboards for quick reference and the Sur selected is represented by its corresponding LED in the display above.
Note: The first LED indicates ' Mandra Safed 6 = A = 6 Kattai ' (Lowest Sur) and the last LED indicates ' Safed 7 = B = 7 Kattai ' (Highest Sur 2nd octave)

FINE SA
You can further fine tune your Sur by using the Fine SA key. Use the Decrement & Increment arrow buttons to adjust between Sur.
Note: Fine SA allows very very fine pitch adjustment in-between two main notes (i.e. in-between C & C# by pressing Increment arrow switch and in-between C & B by pressing =Decrement arrow switch.
Note: The same is indicated by the bar graph LED. LED at centre means that the main SA is at its natural note. Pressing the Decrement key moves the bar graph LED to left side indicating the sur to be lower than the natural note and pressing Increment key moves the bar graph LED to right side of the centre indicating that the sur is higher than the natural note.

MAIN VOLUME
To set the volume of the instrument press the Main Volume switch followed by the Decrement or Increment arrow switch to either Decrease or Increase the volume respectively.
Note: The same is indicated by the bar graph LED. LED at left hand side means minimum volume and bar proceeding to the right hand side denotes an increase in volume. Maximum volume is indicated by the bar traveling full right and all LEDs glowing in the bar.

Swarangini Digital also allows you to set the volume of each individual string of the Tanpura as per your requirement.

PA VOLUME
To set the volume of the PA press the PA Volume switch followed by the Decrement or Increment arrow switch to either Decrease or Increase the volume respectively.
Note: The same is indicated by the bar graph LED. LED at left hand side means minimum volume and bar proceeding to the right hand side denotes an increase in volume. Maximum volume is indicated by the bar traveling full right and all LEDs glowing in the bar.

JODI SA1 VOLUME
To set the volume of the Jodi SA 1 press the Jodi SA 1 Volume switch followed by the Decrement or Increment arrow switch to either Decrease or Increase the volume respectively.
Note: The same is indicated by the bar graph LED. LED at left hand side means minimum volume and bar proceeding to the right hand side denotes an increase in volume. Maximum volume is indicated by the bar traveling full right and all LEDs glowing in the bar.

JODI SA2 VOLUME
To set the volume of the Jodi SA 2 press the Jodi SA 2 Volume switch followed by the Decrement or Increment arrow switch to either Decrease or Increase the volume respectively.
Note: The same is indicated by the bar graph LED. LED at left hand side means minimum volume and bar proceeding to the right hand side denotes an increase in volume. Maximum volume is indicated by the bar traveling full right and all LEDs glowing in the bar

KHARAJ VOLUME
To set the volume of the Kharaj press the Kharaj Volume switch followed by the Decrement or Increment arrow switch to either Decrease or Increase the volume respectively.
Note: The same is indicated by the bar graph LED. LED at left hand side means minimum volume and bar proceeding to the right hand side denotes a increase in volume. Maximum volume is indicated by the bar traveling full right and all LEDs glowing in the bar.

SELECT
Select switch helps you in the selection of PA, MA, Ni or only SA style of playing
Note: The corresponding LED of the PA,MA or NI will glow. When only SA selected no LED will glow.


STYLE
The Style switch helps you in the selection of either 5 Matra or 6 Matra style of playing. In 5 matra style there is no pause after the first string being played ie PA, MA or Ni
Note: The corresponding LED of the 5 Matra or 6 Matra will glow.

MANUAL NI
Nishad can be tuned manually by pressing the Manual NI switch. Use the Decrement & Increment arrow buttons to reduce or increase Nishad pitch.
Note: The range for Nishad adjustment is one Sur up on the higher side and one Sur Down on the Lower side ( i.e. If D is selected as Main Sa, Nishad will be adjustment from D to D# on the higher side and D to C# on the lower side. )
Note: Indication is by the bar graph LED. LED at centre means that the main SA is at its natural note. Pressing the Decrement key moves the bar graph LED to left side indicating the sur to be lower than the natural note and pressing Increment key moves the bar graph LED to right side of the centre indicating that the sur is higher than the natural note.


TEMPO
To manually adjust the tempo, press the Tempo switch followed by the Decrement or Increment arrow switch to either Decrease or Increase the tempo respectively.
Note: The same is indicated by the bar graph LED. LED at centre means that the tempo is at default setting. Pressing the Decrement key moves the bar graph LED to left side indicating the tempo to be slower and pressing Increment key moves the bar graph LED to right side of the centre indicating that the tempo is faster
Note: Swarangini Digital is automatically calibrated to give the best tempo to the selected Sur (Sa Main).

BATTERY
Swarangini Digital has an inbuilt battery charger which automatically charges batteries while the instrument is playing. Please use only rechargeable AAA size battery.
While charging batteries the Battery Charging LED will glow.
In the event of the battery charge being low, the Low Battery LED will glow; thereby prompting you to connect the instrument to main AC power supply for charging the batteries.
